GRID Alternatives seeks a Foundation Development Officer to expand major funding partnerships across Colorado, Mid-Atlantic, and Mexico, leading strategic donor engagement and grant strategy.

You will manage a portfolio of funders, craft compelling proposals and collaborate with leadership to advance renewable energy and economic justice initiatives. This is a remote role with regional travel and cross-border coordination.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of professional nonprofit fundraising or grantmaking experience.
• Demonstrated exceptional persuasive writing skills including grant writing and emails.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience managing major 5- to 7-figure foundation partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead efforts to raise major 5- to 7-figure funding partnerships from foundations.
• Manage a portfolio of funders with annual and multi-year grants.
• Provide strategic leadership on fundraising and thought leadership for equity in renewable energy and workforce development.
• Collaborate with national fundraising team to develop long-term fund development strategies.
• Promote a Culture of Philanthropy across GRID Alternatives.
• Engage with regional affiliates to deepen understanding of local communities.
