Job summary

The Partnership for Public Service, a nonpartisan nonprofit in the U.S., seeks a Senior Manager, Development - California. Remote role with preference for San Francisco Bay Area candidates; focus on cultivating high-net-worth individuals and foundations to support California programs.

You will manage a California portfolio ~40 funders, solicit donors of $10k+, draft proposals and reports, and collaborate with the CEO and board to advance opportunities.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressively responsible fundraising, business development or sales experience.
• Two years’ experience cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors of $10,000 or more.
• Experience with prospect research.
• Experience securing foundation grants of $50,000 or more preferred.
• Familiarity with donor relationship management systems; Salesforce knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to secure support from 40+ California funders and prospects, soliciting individuals and foundations while partnering with the President/CEO and board on high-level solicitations.
• Identify and cultivate new individual and foundation prospects for California programs.
• Work with the Development team to steward California donors and design cultivation events.
• Provide input into revenue targets and strategies for California initiatives.
• Draft concept papers, grant proposals and reports as required.
• Maintain Salesforce records and ensure meeting notes are captured.
