Job summary

Auxis is seeking a Cash Application Specialist for a temporary maternity-cover position in the United States. The role requires applying customer payments to invoices, interpreting remittance advice, and resolving discrepancies with a strong emphasis on Excel analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in cash application or AR, advanced Excel skills, and excellent English communication. The assignment offers potential extension or permanent opportunities depending on performance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in cash application or AR roles.
• Strong knowledge of invoice processing and remittance advice.
• Experience applying payments with/without references.
• Advanced Excel: PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS.
• Excellent English communication (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Process and apply incoming customer payments via multiple methods.
• Review remittance advice to identify correct invoices and allocate payments.
• Apply payments to invoices with and without reference numbers.
• Process bulk and consolidated payments across multiple invoices.
• Reconcile payments against open invoices and customer balances.
• Investigate unapplied cash, unidentified payments, short/overpayments, duplicates.
• Research payment details using bank statements and AR reports.
• Maintain records of payment applications with proper documentation.
• Use Excel to analyze payment data and reconcile accounts.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers in English to obtain missing remittance information.
• Meet daily processing deadlines with high accuracy.
• Follow established cash application procedures and controls.
