Rockland Trust is seeking a Teller Trainee in Hingham, MA to greet customers, process deposits and withdrawals, and provide accurate, friendly service on the branch floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using technology, including computers.
• Sales and service‑oriented personality.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
• Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
• Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
• Ability to successfully complete onboarding and training programs within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Make the first impression to customers as they enter the branch, warmly greeting them and guiding them to the colleague who can best support their needs.
• Engage in constant customer support, exhibiting efficient, effective, and courteous service in person and via telephone.
• Serve customers by supplying information on Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their needs.
• Ensure customers feel cared for while performing duties requiring high accuracy, such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checks and other financial transactions.
• Make decisions alongside immediate supervisor as the position gains experience.
• Work closely with training and branch teams to learn and complete Teller Training.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
