Job summary

First Interstate Properties, Ltd. in Shenandoah, IA is seeking a Teller to handle daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations, delivering outstanding client service and developing client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional products and services.

You will process deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments, answer questions, and support cross-sell opportunities while maintaining accuracy and security in all transactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a cash handling role preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and loan payments, cash checks, and redeem savings bonds.
• Answer clients' questions in person and over the phone.
• Process additional transactions as needed, including currency transactions.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer to a banker.
• Record activities and referrals in 360View.
• Process consumer credit card applications.
• Complete special client requests and maintain cashier functions.
• Reconcile cash drawer and maintain appropriate cash supplies.
• Comply with bank operations and security procedures.
• Support team and participate in volunteer activities.
