Job summary

First Interstate Bank Spearfish, SD is seeking a Teller to handle daily teller transactions in the lobby and drive-up, deliver outstanding client service, and build client relationships by identifying referral opportunities.

This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage cash, deposits, payments, and currency exchanges, with opportunities to learn about additional products and services and to participate in community activities.

• Strong math aptitude and financial transactions accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Attention to detail in cash handling and records.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, loan payments, cash checks, and other transactions.
• Answer client questions in person and by phone.
• Record transactions and referrals using branch systems.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and direct clients to bankers.
• Maintain cash drawer with accuracy and security.
