Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring a Telesales Specialist to drive registrations for community training classes and to sell Red Cross Store products. You will engage customers, assess needs, and close sales both for training and retail items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales experience within a Call Center.
• Ability to effectively multi-task across multi-system platforms.
• Strong influence and negotiation skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls for customers interested in Red Cross courses or Store products.
• Act as consultant to uncover training and product needs.
• Recommend and sell Red Cross training classes and Store products based on customer needs.
• Handle credit card transactions and place orders through Sales systems.
• Accurately document and update all cases in Salesforce.
• Upsell Store retail products that complement class enrollment.
• Handle returns, exchanges or cancellations per policy.
• Answer customer questions about classes or products.
• Aim to attain Training revenue of $325K/year and Retail revenue of $80K/year.
