Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring a Telesales Specialist, RSG, to sell registrations for community training classes and Red Cross Store products to individuals and small businesses. You will act as a trusted advisor, uncover needs, and close sales.

You will handle inbound calls, process orders in Salesforce, and upsell complementary products while earning an hourly wage plus commissions. This role emphasizes customer service and sales in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED; higher education a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year sales experience within a Call Center.
• Ability to multi-task across multi-system platforms.
• Strong influence and negotiation skills are a plus.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce.com or similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls for customers interested in Red Cross courses or Store products.
• Act as consultant to uncover customer training and Store needs.
• Recommend and sell training classes and Store products based on needs.
• Process credit card transactions and place orders in Sales systems.
• Document and update cases with required call information in Salesforce.
• Upsell Store products that complement class enrollment.
• Handle returns/exchanges/cancellations following policies.
