Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to lead and support the daily operations of a unit. You will use the nursing process to address diverse patient needs and collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• 3 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families and colleagues.
• Patient-and-family-centered practice and cultural sensitivity.
• Active RN license in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily unit operations and act as a resource and mentor to the care team.
• Ensure timely patient throughput and coordinate care delivery across shifts.
• Manage staff schedules, payroll coordination, and staffing adjustments.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager to maintain and improve nursing practice quality.
• Support Magnet and Shared Governance programs and professional development.
