Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Chemotherapy competency training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based practices, policies and standards for safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team about patient status and plan of care.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Record patient assessments, plans of care, interventions and evaluations at point-of-care electronically.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transition and continuity of care.
