Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• Telemetry experience is preferred.
• Oncology experience is preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies and standards of care to ensure safe patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery of medications.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transition of care.
