Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Nursing: 12C is seeking a Part-time Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care under RN supervision. The role requires 24 hours per week with a day shift and alternating weekend duties, including rotating holidays.

Base duties include vital signs, patient assistance, and basic care tasks. The position emphasizes accurate EMR documentation and teamwork within the nursing station.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.
• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care, e.g. bathing and feeding.
• Record vital signs and daily data in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate with RN regarding patient needs.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge activities under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and contribute to routine tests as directed.
• Handle errands and stock nursing supplies.
