Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital seeks a Part-time Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include basic patient care, vital signs, and accurate EMR documentation. Eligible for benefits, with every other weekend and rotating holidays as per site schedule.

Requirements include GED or high school diploma and BLS for Healthcare Providers within 45 days, plus Nurse Aide in good standing. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers per AHA is required within 45 days of hire.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to document nursing data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Record blood pressures, TPRs, intake/output, weights and other data; document in EMR accurately.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN; respond to patient/family needs promptly.
