Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant in the MICU department at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. The role supports RN staff with daily patient care, measurements, and documentation in EMR, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, patient transfers, and maintaining patient safety and comfort. Requires BLS and Nurse Aide in good standing; GED/HSED or high school diploma accepted. Perks include comprehensive benefits and PT schedule.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Measures and documents vital signs and patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges and room setup.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Runs errands, stocks nursing area, cleans equipment and work areas.
• Assists with patient positioning, transfers and nutrition-related tasks.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses required patient supplies and devices.
• May remove IVs, provide post-mortem care, and conduct bladder scans as directed.
• Adheres to infection prevention policies and hand hygiene.
