Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Neuro unit on nights with 12-hour shifts, 7p-7a. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and coordinate with the medical team on changes in patient condition.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS; BSN preferred. Prior acute care and ventilator management experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
