Job summary

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center seeks an experienced RN for the Telemetry Float Pool in New Jersey. The role includes caring for patients across telemetry and stepdown units, performing phlebotomy, IV starts, and arrhythmia interpretation, with evening shifts and a competitive hourly wage.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a New Jersey RN license and complete orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey.
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in discharge planning and develops a written teaching discharge plan for assigned patients.
• Assumes charge nurse functions as delegated by Nurse Manager.
• Completes daily patient classification and unit-based competencies.
• Delivers individualized patient care in line with standards and policies.
• Initiates IV sticks and IV care; monitors IV fluids.
• Demonstrates proficiency with phlebotomy sticks and blood administration policies.
• Provides care for telemetry patients and interprets arrhythmias; manages airway and oxygen therapy.
• Organizes work, prioritizes with minimal supervision, and ensures documentation is complete.

Education

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

RN license in New Jersey
