Job summary

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 12.5 Specialty Float Tele position in the Telemetry Float Pool. The evening shift is currently available with a full-time schedule including three 12.5-hour shifts per week, offering a robust exposure to multiple units and patient populations.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in discharge planning and, upon discharge, ensures a written teaching discharge plan has been developed for assigned patients concerning disease process, complications, medications, diet, physical activity and self-care needs.
• Delivers individualized patient care consistent with established standards of care, policies and procedures and other regulatory standards.
• Maintains complete, accurate, concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions and patient responses within tour of duty.
• Assists with IV sticks, maintains IV sites and monitors IV fluids; provides IV care and documents using established policies and procedures.
