Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in discharge planning and provides written discharge teaching.
• Assumes charge nurse functions as delegated by Nurse Manager.
• Delivers patient care per established standards and policies.
• Maintains complete documentation of patient status and interventions.
• Opens and manages IV care and medications per policy.
• Performs phlebotomy and arterial blood sampling as needed.
• Ensures patient safety and privacy at all times.
• Demonstrates professionalism with families, staff and physicians.
