Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. seeks an Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) for a part-time role in Ellicott City, MD. You will be the face of our Telehealth patient journey, guiding customers through remote eye exams and in-store services with a friendly, human touch.

Pay rate is $16–$18.47 per hour. Responsibilities include assisting remote eye exam processes, maintaining patient records, coordinating with Telemedicine physicians, and helping patients choose eyewear.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
