Job summary

Visionworks in Maryland is seeking an Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) for a part-time, onsite role in Store 428, Village South at Waugh Chapel. You will support remote eye exams, guide patients through Telehealth processes, and collaborate with Telemedicine Physicians to ensure a smooth patient journey from check-in to eyewear selection.

Ideal candidates have a customer-service mindset, HS diploma or GED, and the ability to handle patient information with care.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
