Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Telecommunications Technician 2 in Charlotte, NC to plan, install and test commercial communications systems per plans and codes.

The role requires extensive experience with structured cabling, copper, fiber, and related hardware in commercial environments. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of reading plans, performing terminations, and coordinating with teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial communications install/termination
• Valid driver's license required
• Experience with Cat5e/6, fiber termination, and rF cabling
• Familiarity with BlueBeam, Fluke Versiv, MS Office

Responsibilities

• Install video/data cabling (Cat5e/6) and fiber
• Terminate copper and fiber cables and patch panels
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Mentor apprentices and supervise team
• Ensure safety and maintain clean worksite
