WSP Global Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer–Experienced Professional to contribute to ESSP projects across utility and commercial clients.

You will design telecom infrastructure, specify equipment, and deliver documentation while mentoring project teams. This role involves field surveys, site work, travel as needed, and coordination with vendors such as Cisco, Nokia, GE, and Siemens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, or related discipline with 3+ years of experience (or 7+ years in lieu of degree).
• Experience designing telecommunications infrastructure or systems for utility, industrial, or commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of fiber-optic, microwave, TDM/SONET, MPLS, Ethernet, and packet-based networks.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and prepare specifications, designs, and test plans.
• Strong communication and organization to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design telecom infrastructure for conventional, renewable, and distributed generation facilities.
• Specify equipment and prepare procurement and testing documentation.
• Review OTDR reports and verify fiber-optic links.
• Design and configure network paths for SCADA and data users.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors; mentor project teams.
