WSP is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join the Boise, ID office. You'll design telecommunications infrastructure for utility and industrial projects, specify equipment, and contribute to ESSP initiatives.

You will mentor project teams, perform site surveys, and coordinate with clients while ensuring safety and adherence to codes. Some travel may be required; remote arrangements may be considered.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or telecommunications engineering with 3+ years of experience, or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience designing telecommunications infrastructure for utility, industrial, or commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of fiber-optic, microwave, TDM/SONET, MPLS, Ethernet, and packet-based networks.
• Interpret technical documentation and prepare specifications, network designs, installation plans, and test plans.
• Knowledge of network topologies, latency, synchronization, circuit channelization, reliability, and availability.
• Strong communication, self-leadership, organization, and multitasking in a project setting.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health, safety and harassment policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.

• Review OTDR reports and verify fiber-optic links.
