Job summary

Plenary Americas seeks a Sales Engineer for dark fiber and lit services across PA, NC, GA, MD, or VA. You’ll design, price, and close complex network solutions, staying closely aligned with Sales, Engineering, Ops, and Finance to translate customer needs into actionable designs.

Travel up to 30% on the U.S. East Coast; you’ll present to C-level audiences, build ROIs, and champion IRU/lease models while keeping pace with evolving fiber technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering/IT/business.
• 5+ years in pre-sales/technical sales or network design in telecom.
• Expertise in dark fiber architectures and IRU/wavelength tech.
• Familiar with IRU/lease pricing and O&M inputs.
• Experience responding to RFIs/RFPs with technical proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical consultation throughout the sales cycle.
• Design and present dark fiber solutions to customers and executives.
• Develop technical sales strategy with cross-functional teams.
• Create accurate cost estimates and network topologies.
• Lead liaison between Sales and Engineering during design and install.
