Job summary

Plenary Americas is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the sales team for dark fiber and lit services along the U.S. East Coast.

You will design, price, and present complex network solutions, working with engineering, operations, and finance to translate customer needs into compelling business cases. This customer-facing role requires deep telecom design experience, pre-sales expertise, and the ability to communicate with C-level stakeholders; travel up to 30% is expected, with openings across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, MIS, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in pre-sales, technical sales engineering, or network design in telecom.
• Expertise in long-haul/dark fiber, IRU, and wavelength/DWDM tech.
• Understanding of OSP design, permitting, economics, and route feasibility.
• Experience designing IRU/lease and lit fiber solutions; pricing inputs.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical consultation throughout the sales cycle.
• Build relationships with customers' technical stakeholders to drive deals to close.
• Write proposals and respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical and functional detail.
• Present dark fiber and lit services to executive audiences and technical teams.
