Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Telecom to bridge engineering design and construction on major industrial projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages and ensure constructability.

This role requires 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction, a Bachelor's in engineering, strong communication, and proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in electrical engineering or 15 years in construction management for industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical drawings and specifications for construction purposes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving in-progress design and constructability concerns and disputes related to drawings and specifications.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on existing design or modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage regarding construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with design and schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full construction WBS and scope coverage.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability and impacts to packages.
