Job summary
Jacobs seeks a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Telecom to bridge engineering design and construction for major industrial projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive telecom and low‑voltage bid packages and guide constructability and sequencing on site.
Ideal candidates have 8+ years in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction, a Bachelor's in engineering, and strong leadership, communication, and proficiency with Revit, ACC
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
- 8 years experience in electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
- Understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead resolution of design and constructability issues across disciplines.
- Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on design.
- Engage trade partners early in design phase.
- Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation for telecom and low voltage builds.
- Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedules.
- Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor awards.
- Coordinate scope completion with stakeholders and WBS development.
- Review vendor data submittals for constructability impacts.
