Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician II to support Inside Plant cabling and related infrastructure for a Federal Government client at Camp H.M. Smith in Aiea, HI. Preferred candidates reside in or near the Lexington Park, MD area; however, candidates located elsewhere will also be considered.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule of 4 twelve hour days on-site per week. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of ISP/OSP cabling experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering packages and install OSI Layer 1 infrastructure.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering packages and coordinate materials, tools, and crews.
• Interface with the end customer and attend project meetings; submit status reports.
• Work within ISP installation crews to perform installation, demolition, and updating.
• Assist with pre-installation testing of materials.
• Work in confined spaces as necessary and maintain safety and quality.
• Maintain proficiency with copper and ensure professional interactions at all levels.
