Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee telecommunications projects on-site in multiple states, with 50–70% travel. You will lead field teams, ensure adherence to plans and codes, and manage safety and quality programs.

You will develop project schedules, supervise crafts and subcontractors, coordinate resources, and drive timely delivery while maintaining safety and compliance across North America.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
• Experience in aerial and underground fiber instillation methods is a plus. (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Effective Communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
