Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily field operations across projects in North America. You will ensure work is delivered on schedule and within budget, uphold safety and quality standards, and manage field staff, contractors and tradespeople.

Qualifications

1–5 years of construction experience as a supervisor or lead hand.
Knowledge of underground fiber installation methods (Plow/HDD) is a plus.
Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma preferred.
Understanding of construction practices, costs and budgets.
Ability to plan and manage project schedules and develop solutions for moderate issues.
Strong communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Ensure all construction activities comply with approved plans, specs, codes and quality standards, including PQP requirements and testing.
Champion site safety by enforcing standards, leading safety meetings, and supporting the Project Specific Safety Program.
Monitor short-term schedules, estimate activity durations and material needs, and track progress toward milestones.
Direct field staff and coordinate labor, equipment and subcontractor resources to meet safety, schedule and quality goals.
Supervise craft workers and subcontractors, provide guidance, and maintain accountability for performance and site expectations.
Manage procurement tasks such as preparing purchase requisitions and reviewing invoices.
