Ledcor Technical Services in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily field operations on telecommunications projects across North America. You will ensure work is performed to plans, safety standards, and quality expectations.

The role involves coordinating field staff and subcontractors, refining schedules, and managing budgets while maintaining strong client relationships. Expect 50–70% travel across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Experience with aerial and underground fiber installation (HDD) is a plus.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specs, and current construction practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise craft employees and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specs, and building codes.
• Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules; address delays and contribute to schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Monitor reporting and financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
