Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Superintendent to lead daily field operations on our North American network projects based in Davenport, IA. You will ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, while upholding the highest quality standards and site safety.

Your leadership will guide field staff, contractors, and tradespeople to maintain project momentum and performance. As a site-based role with travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites across multiple states, you

Qualifications

One to five years of construction experience as a supervisor or lead hand.
Knowledge of underground fiber installation methods (Plow and HDD).
Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma (preferred).
Understanding of current construction practices, documents, costs, and budgets.
Ability to plan and manage project schedules with defined guidelines.
Effective communication skills for coordinating stakeholders and teams.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Military experience equivalent to 12N/H Construction Engineer or 12H Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Ensure all construction activities comply with plans, specifications, codes and quality standards.
Champion site safety by enforcing standards and leading safety meetings.
Monitor schedules, estimate durations and material needs, track progress.
Direct field staff and coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
Supervise craftsmen and subcontractors and maintain accountability for performance.
Manage procurement tasks including purchase requisitions and invoices.
