Job summary

RANGE is seeking a Data Services Technician to install and maintain telecommunications services, cabling, CPE, and field equipment under the Plant Supervisor. You will troubleshoot, repair, and support IT services, battery testing, and carrier systems while following safety and regulatory requirements.

This role requires on-call rotation, occasional travel, and coordination with other departments. You will document work orders, monitor alarms, and ensure network stability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• At least 2 years telecom data services work experience.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Pole/tower certificates may be outlined during offer.
• On-call rotation including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to read cable schematics and use testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and transfer voice, data, and ethernet services.
• Install and maintain copper or fiber cabling per standards.
• Repair buried and aerial telecom facilities; assist with digging safety.
• Document installations and repairs for billing and records.
• Monitor alarms and report issues affecting customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel as needed.
