Job summary

RANGE is seeking a Data Services Technician to install and maintain telecommunications services, cabling, and CPE across diverse environments. The role includes troubleshooting defective equipment, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing and facility records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years telecom data services experience.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Pole/tower cert requirements may apply depending on area.

Responsibilities

Install and transfer voice, data, and non-regulated services per design.
Install and maintain copper or fiber cabling in aerial or buried installations.
Install subscriber carrier systems (digital/analog/NGCarrier).
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain network equipment and alarms.
Document installations and repairs; coordinate with billing and facilities records.
Monitor alarm systems and report issues; respond during on-call rotations.
