Job summary

Combined Public Communications is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems for customers, including work in correctional environments. The role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent customer service, with the need to pass background checks.

The successful candidate will install cabling (CAT5/CAT6), perform basic networking tasks across Windows and Mac, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Proven telecommunications or field service experience.
• Solid understanding of telecom systems and components.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; extensive travel.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems.
