Job summary

RANGE is seeking a Data Network Technician to administer, maintain, install, test, troubleshoot, and monitor all networks and systems used to provide service to the company and its customers. Travel to customer sites is expected as necessary.

You will use network management software to monitor access equipment, provision switches, wireless networks, and alarms; assist other departments with service orders and design; and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• A combination of demonstrable years’ experience and applicable training may be considered in lieu of the following qualifications.
• 2 year / associate degree in IT, Networking, or Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience performing complex Data Network related functions.
• Valid, state-issued, insurable driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate use of data network equipment, wireless equipment, transport equipment, and switching equipment.
• Monitor and provision customer access equipment using multiple NMS tools.
• Coordinate tasks, technicians, and material to complete required jobs.
• Troubleshoot network issues and dispatch as needed to resolve problems.
• Support staff, technicians, and customers with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
