Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Superintendent - Telecommunications Service & Construction to independently supervise area of trade contractors on projects up to $30M. On-site daily across IL locations, you will drive safety, schedule, cost control and quality on complex telecom construction programs.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and enforce safety plans while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4-8 years of superintendent experience on $15–$30M projects.
• OSHA 30-hour certificate.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the field work plan and changes.
• Maintains project documents and schedule; monitors quality and safety.
• Leads contractor meetings and coordinates site logistics.
• Ensures permits and regulatory compliance are obtained.
• Mentors junior field engineers and supports buyout activities.
