Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Superintendent for Telecommunications Service & Construction to independently supervise trade contractors on projects up to $30M. The on-site role drives safety, scheduling, and quality while coordinating with the project team.

You will guide field operations, enforce the project safety plan, and mentor junior engineers. This position emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day coordination of trade partners and sub-contractors to meet the approved project schedule.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding changes in the field.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate potential problems.
• Participates in constructability reviews and identifies change impacts.
• Obtains or verifies required permits for construction purposes.
• Acts as the primary safety representative in the field.
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains daily reports and project documentation.
• Plans, coordinates and manages jobsite logistics and schedule contingency plans.
• Ensures project quality and enforces safety plans across trades.
