Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Superintendent to independently supervise a large trade scope with work valued up to $30M. The role requires overseeing on‑site coordination, safety, and schedule adherence daily on active projects.

The ideal candidate will bring 4–8 years of superintendent experience on commercial/industrial builds, OSHA 30, and STS‑C certification, with strong problem‑solving and leadership abilities to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4–8 years of experience on $15–$30 million+ commercial/industrial projects in a superintendent role.
• OSHA 30‑hour certified.
• STS‑C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to ensure high‑quality work and schedule adherence.
• Develop, document, and communicate field work plans and changes.
• Maintain contract documents and anticipate potential problems.
• Lead constructability reviews and identify change impacts.
• Establish and enforce project safety plan in the field.
• Lead contractor meetings and maintain daily reports and schedules.
