Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Superintendent to lead telecommunications service and construction efforts on busy project sites. You will supervise trade contractors, manage safety programs, and drive schedule adherence on projects valued up to multi‑million dollars.

You will coordinate with owners, unions, and subcontractors while mentoring junior staff and ensuring high‑quality workmanship. A strong focus on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving is required to deliver on-time results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 4–8 years of superintendent experience on large commercial/industrial construction projects.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/Stop the Bleed training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and sub-contractors to meet schedule and quality.
• Develops and communicates field work plans and changes.
• Maintains contract documents and proactively identifies potential problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and manages daily reports and schedules.
• Ensures safety by acting as primary on-site safety representative and enforcing the safety plan.
