Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer to join our telecom design team in the United States, ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office.

You will design and manage Revit BIM models, coordinate with discipline leads, and produce 2D construction drawings in accordance with Jacobs and client BIM standards. Responsibilities include setting up Revit models, coordinating 3D content across disciplines, and delivering clash-free designs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least 3 years of Revit design experience
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
• Experience following client design and modeling standards
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as a markup software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn new things

Responsibilities

• Engaged in design documentation and responsible for setting up and managing Revit BIM models in coordination with discipline BIM leads and team members
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L) and 2D construction drawings
• Work with other designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers to deliver constructible deliverables including clash-free 3D models
• Follow Jacobs design methods with keen eye for detail to support telecom design and client standards
