Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer to join our telecom design team. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models and produce coordinated 3D content and 2D drawings in collaboration with architects, engineers, and other discipline leads.

Working under telecom leads, you’ll apply Jacobs standards, use Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, and help translate design intent into constructible deliverables. We offer a hybrid work model across the U.S. and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Revit design experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry.
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as a markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Use Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to create and manage content for fully coordinated 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
• Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers to ensure constructible deliverables and adherence to Jacobs design standards.
• Work under the direction of telecom discipline or project leads to showcase Revit expertise in project deliverables including clash-free models.
