Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer to design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with telecom leads and project teams. You will produce fully coordinated 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, ensuring clash-free deliverables.

The role emphasizes collaboration with designers, engineers, and architects within Jacobs' telecom design team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Revit design experience.
• At least 2 years of telecommunications systems design and construction experience.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as a markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Engaged in design documentation and management of Revit BIM models with telecom leads and team members.
• Create and manage content toward fully coordinated 3D models across disciplines using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, plus 2D drawings.
• Work with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers to deliver constructable deliverables and clash-free models.
• Follow Jacobs design methods and maintain accuracy and detail in line with client BIM standards.
