Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunication BIM Designer to design and manage Revit BIM models for data center and telecom projects. You’ll work with discipline leads and engineers to translate design intent into fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring clash-free deliverables and adherence to client BIM standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Revit design experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry.
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as a markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L).
• Create 2D construction drawings.
• Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers on the Jacobs design team.
• Ensure compliance with Jacobs and client BIM standards.
• Turn design intent into constructible deliverables including clash-free models.
