Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer in the United States. You will design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with telecom leads, using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to produce 3D models and 2D drawings.

This role collaborates with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers on a Jacobs team to turn design intent into constructable deliverables. Strong Revit experience and knowledge of telecom systems required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least 3 years of Revit design experience
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
• Experience following client design and modeling standards
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as a markup software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn new things

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads and team members
• Develop 2D construction drawings and 3D models
• Ensure models are clash-free and coordinated across design disciplines
• Follow Jacobs design methods and client BIM standards
