Job summary

Verizon is seeking an experienced Red Team Operator to proactively identify vulnerabilities in telecom infrastructure and applications, emulating real-world adversaries to test defenses. You will work with internal teams to simulate APTs and tailor engagements for telco challenges, including 4G/5G networks and cloud environments.

Ideal candidates bring deep mobile network experience, strong OS/Linux and scripting skills, and the ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• 6+ years of relevant security experience required.
• Strong understanding of 4G/5G protocols and core network.
• Experience with telco security and red team activities.

Responsibilities

• Adversary emulation: conduct red team exercises emulating threats targeting telco systems.
• Vulnerability identification, exploitation, and reporting in critical telco infrastructure.
• Post-engagement reporting with findings, exploit paths, and remediation guidance.
• Collaboration with blue team to develop detection and prevention strategies.
• Stay updated on TTPs relevant to telecommunications.
• Provide insights to improve the organization’s security posture.
