Forest Hills Public School District in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Technology Support Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and monitor district computer equipment and networks, ensuring minimal service interruption and strong end-user support.

You will troubleshoot hardware/software issues, manage inventory, and provide training. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and a detail-oriented approach to support a diverse user base across the district.

Qualifications

College degree or technical certifications in Information Technology.
One year of related work experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies and architecture.
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, systems and network issues.
Proficiency in Google Apps for Education and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Install, upgrade, repair, move, and replace desktops, laptops and peripherals.
Provide first line support for users via help desk tickets, phone, or email.
Respond to requests for technical assistance and diagnose issues.
Provide remote and onsite support for desktop applications, hardware, and peripherals.
Document issues and resolutions in the FHPS ticket system.
Train district staff and interns on technology systems and best practices.
Collaborate with technology leadership to implement new technologies.
