Job summary

The City of Richmond is seeking a Technology Coordinator (Agency) to support the Richmond Police Department’s Information Services unit. You will handle IT applications, management, and network security, coordinating with the city IT team and providing critical infrastructure support.

The role requires complex troubleshooting, server administration, and user training, with responsibilities spanning hardware upgrades, documentation, asset management, and 24x7 on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field.
• Three years of IT maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT application, management, and network security support.
• Coordinate with the Department of Information Technology and support Richmond Police Department.
• Perform complex technical support and troubleshooting for computers, networks, systems, and peripherals.
• Manage hardware and system installations or upgrade projects.
• Develop and provide user training; maintain system documentation.
• Maintain work orders and asset records; backup and recovery.
• Provide technical support for mobile data, Wi‑Fi, networking, and telephony solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation (24x7).
