Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in IT or related field; bachelor’s degree desirable.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in information systems support.
  • Bachelor’s degree may substitute for up to half of the required experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear communication of technical solutions and end-user training.
  • Demonstrated multitasking and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain police-related applications and information systems.
  • Provide end-user support for computers, networks, printers, and phones.
  • Install in-vehicle computers and body-worn camera activation devices.
  • Provide police technology training and create training materials.
  • Coordinate technology projects with IT and outside vendors.
  • Prepare reports and perform system audits as needed.
