Job summary

University of New England seeks a Technology Asset Lifecycle Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of university technology assets, including procurement, inventory, deployment, refresh, licensing, maintenance, and secure disposition.

As the system administrator for the IT asset management platform, you will ensure accurate inventory, conduct annual audits, and lead the five-year computer refresh program to support budgeting, depreciation reporting, and total cost of ownership analysis.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in information technology, business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
• Three years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, endpoint deployment, technology operations, or related field.
• Experience administering or supporting asset management, inventory management, or IT service management platforms.
• Knowledge of information security, asset protection, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the university’s IT asset management system and data standards.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of technology assets across ownership, location, and lifecycle status.
• Develop, document, and improve asset lifecycle processes and accountability practices.
• Establish and maintain asset classification, tagging, and inventory standards.
• Collaborate with ITS Purchasing, Finance, and vendors to support procurement, contracts, asset accounting, and depreciation reporting.
